Terms of use

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Rosso is an independently developed product that turns your Spotify listening history into recaps, a musical identity and playlists. By using Rosso you accept the terms below. We kept them short; if anything is unclear, write to us.

Who provides the service

Rosso (Project Rosso) is developed and run independently by Muhammed Uğur Acıelma. In this text, “we” means the project owner.

Invite-only alpha

Rosso is currently in an invite-only alpha. Sign-up is limited to an invite list; features may change, be added or removed, and the service may be interrupted from time to time.

Rosso is free. There is no paid plan and you are not asked to pay.

Your Spotify connection and data

To use Rosso you can connect your Spotify account and/or upload the listening history file (ZIP) you downloaded from Spotify. Do this only for your own account and your own data.

Rosso is not affiliated with Spotify and is not endorsed by Spotify. The Spotify name and logo belong to Spotify; Spotify’s own terms continue to apply to your Spotify account.

You can remove the connection at any time from Settings.

How your data is processed, where it is stored and how it is deleted is described in the privacy policy.

Your account and acceptable use

By using Rosso you agree to the following:

  • You are responsible for the security of your account; do not share your password or connected accounts.
  • Do not connect or upload someone else’s Spotify account or data without their permission.
  • Do not try to break or overload the service, send bulk requests with automated tools, or bypass its security measures.
  • Do not use Rosso for any unlawful purpose.

Content and intellectual property

The Rosso name, interface, design and software belong to the project owner. Track, artist and album names and cover art belong to Spotify and the respective rights holders; Rosso uses them only to show you the data of your own account.

The listening history you upload and the playlists you create stay yours; Rosso processes them only to provide the service.

Automatically generated output

Output such as your musical identity, your recaps and mood-based playlists is generated automatically from your listening data. It is for discovery and fun; it can be wrong or incomplete. Do not rely on it for important decisions.

Limits of responsibility

During the alpha Rosso is provided “as is”: no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation or of fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from using or being unable to use the service. This does not affect any rights you have that cannot legally be limited.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → “Delete account”. If the service is used against these terms or in a way that harms it, we reserve the right to restrict access or close the account.

Changes to these terms

Because Rosso is in alpha, these terms may change. When a change is significant, the “Last updated” date on this page is refreshed; continuing to use Rosso means you accept the current terms.
